Set up in minutes and store right in your garage

Designed with convenience in mind, the OS18 can be easily assembled, disassembled, moved, and stored. You can wheel the sawhead to your desired location, similar to moving a dolly cart. The track sections easily detach and can even be hung up. With its ultra-compact storage footprint and the included moving kit, it's ready to roll to wherever and whenever you need it.

Stop turning your valuable logs into sawdust

With an ultra narrow kerf blade, the OS18 cut width is 2/3 smaller and far less wasteful than a chainsaw mill, maximizing the yield from every log. Chainsaw mills are slow and not ideal for large production. They waste a lot of wood by turning into sawdust due to their large kerf size.

still have questions?

What kind of Warranty do I get with a Frontier?

With every Frontier sawmill, you receive a one-year consumer warranty. We will repair or replace, at our discretion, any part returned to us and found to be defective through manufacturing within the first year of the original purchaser’s ownership (except consumable items like belts, blades, bearings & clutch). The engine is covered under warranty directly with the engine manufacturer (two years by Briggs and three years with by Kohler). We back that up with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If your Frontier doesn’t do everything we say, simply return it to us within 30 days and receive a refund (shipping not included)*.*Not including used blades, damaged parts or restocking fees.

How difficult is it to assemble my Frontier sawmill?

The sawhead is pre-assembled at the factory, and thanks to the fully illustrated step-by-step manual with exploded illustrations, diagrams, and photographs, the rest can usually be put together in a single day or less. You'll only need a few basic tools, including combination and Allen wrenches, a ratchet with SAE and SI sockets, an adjustable wrench, a Phillips screwdriver, a drill, lubricating and engine oils, and a grease gun. Regardless of your skill level, Frontier Sawmills are designed to be user-friendly and easy to operate. We also provide toll-free support from the moment your Frontier Sawmill arrives, through your first cuts, and beyond.

How do I load logs onto my sawmill?

You have the option to enhance your setup with available log loading systems designed for the Frontier OS18. This includes a log loading ramp package with spring-loaded rollback assist cleats to help roll logs up onto the mill bed. Additionally, a traditional ramp with grips is also available. A peavey is an indispensable tool for moving logs to the mill and is useful for gripping and leveraging logs during the loading process.

What is the maximum length of boards I can cut on the OS18?

Standard, the OS18 band sawmill log bed is 10 feet long (3.29 m), which allows you to makes cuts up to 8 ft 1 in (2.4 m) in length. To saw longer material, you can add optional 5 ft (1.5 m) log deck extensions. You can add multiple extensions to cut logs of any length.

How does the Moving Kit work that comes with the OS18?

The Moving Kit for the OS18 includes two solid wheels and a sturdy handle grip that attach directly to the sawhead. This kit is a standard feature and allows you to remove the sawhead from the track and wheel it around, similar to using a dolly cart. The OS18 sawmill was designed with convenience in mind and can be easily assembled, disassembled, and stored. The track disconnects into two pieces, making it easy to move by hand and even hang on hooks. If desired, you can remove the Moving Kit wheels and handle to use the OS18 with the optional leveling legs at a more comfortable working height.
