The Frontier DH8 wood chipper’s in-feed system uses two self-contained hydraulic motors, one each for the upper and lower in-feed rollers, to maximize control and efficiency. This dual-motor design helps move brush and debris smoothly, reducing slippage and blockages. It features an 8.25-inch chisel tooth top roller engineered for precise material feeding. The in-feed speed adjusts from 0 to 78 feet per minute, with forward, neutral, and reverse options.
The DH8 wood chipper is powered by a tractor PTO (Power Take-Off) drive system, which efficiently harnesses the tractor's engine power to operate the chipper, making it ideal for heavy-duty chipping tasks.
The DH8 Wood Chipper requires a tractor with a horsepower ranging from 30 HP to 100+ HP at the PTO. This range ensures optimal performance with the chipper's direct drive flywheel system, which requires a PTO speed of 540 rpm. The chipper is designed for easy transport using a standard tractor 3-point hitch and is compatible with Category 1 Quick Hitch systems.
