The DH8 wood chipper is powered by a tractor PTO (Power Take-Off) drive system, which efficiently harnesses the tractor's engine power to operate the chipper, making it ideal for heavy-duty chipping tasks.
The DH8 Wood Chipper requires a tractor with a horsepower ranging from 30 HP to 100+ HP at the PTO. This range ensures optimal performance with the chipper's direct drive flywheel system, which requires a PTO speed of between 540 and 1000 rpm. The chipper is designed for easy transport using a standard tractor 3-point hitch and is compatible with Category 1 Quick Hitch systems.
